What Is ImageNet?

ImageNet is a large, labeled dataset of millions of images across thousands of categories, assembled to benchmark visual recognition. In 2012, the deep neural network AlexNet dramatically won the ImageNet competition, a result widely credited with igniting the deep-learning revolution and the modern era of AI.
